Data Governance Analyst

Position Summary:
Fusion HCR is seeking two Technical Data Stewards to join our growing team. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and governance of data across various business systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in data management, business analysis, and data governance frameworks, with a strong ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
  • Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.
  • Monitor and enforce data standards, definitions, and lifecycle management across enterprise systems.
  • Conduct data audits and profiling to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for data-related projects and initiatives.
  • Identify and resolve application performance and availability issues efficiently.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications, business rules, and data mappings for IT teams.
  • Perform data analysis to support decision-making and provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to understand business processes and data needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business objectives.
  • Provide training and support to business users on data management best practices.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in data management and business analysis.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data governance and business intelligence.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to data systems and business processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (CBAP, CDMP) are a plus.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in data management or data stewardship roles.
  • Knowledge of Hospitality, Gaming, and/or Accounting applications.
  • Experience with data governance tools, data quality tools, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with SQL, Cognos, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with agile principles and practices.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders, team members, product owners, and management.
  • Must be available for on-call support on a rotational basis.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
