Position Overview
An architectural and design firm is seeking an Architectural Drafter to join its team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate in architecture or drafting technology who is looking to begin their career in a professional design environment.
The drafter will assist architects and designers in preparing technical drawings, models, and construction documents using industry software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist project teams in producing architectural drawings and construction documents
- Develop and modify floor plans, elevations, sections, and details
- Update drawings based on architect or project manager markups
- Support the preparation of Revit models and drawing sets
- Coordinate with architects, designers, and consultants on project documentation
- Maintain drawing standards and assist with file organization and project documentation
- Participate in team meetings and design discussions to support project development
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or Drafting
- Basic knowledge of Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Understanding of architectural drawings and construction documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Internship or studio project experience in architecture or drafting is a plus
- Revit (preferred)
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office
- Basic understanding of building design and documentation
- Hands-on experience working on commercial and interior architecture projects
- Mentorship from experienced architects and designers
- Exposure to the full architectural project lifecycle
