Personal Tax Advisory Group Vice President

Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Vice President to join our Personal Tax Advisory practice. This executive-level role is responsible for overseeing high-net-worth individual and business-owner client relationships, managing complex tax engagements, and leading a team of tax professionals.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned personal tax advisor with deep expertise in individual, fiduciary, and gift tax planning and compliance. Experience with international tax planning for individuals is highly preferred. This role requires strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and the capability to manage multiple sophisticated engagements simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary advisor for high-net-worth clients, ensuring all personal tax engagements are completed with exceptional quality and responsiveness.

  • Oversee and review complex individual, fiduciary, and gift tax planning and compliance matters.

  • Provide guidance on flow-through entity taxation as it impacts clients’ personal tax situations.

  • Lead and mentor the Personal Tax Advisory management team, contributing to career development and team performance.

  • Conduct advanced tax research and deliver strategic recommendations.

  • Drive business development opportunities and contribute to the growth of the practice.

  • Manage the execution of large and complex assignments within the Individual Tax specialty area.

Qualifications

  • CPA required.

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant tax experience; an advanced degree is preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams.

  • Strong technical knowledge of individual, fiduciary, gift, and flow-through entity taxation.

  • Experience with international individual tax planning and compliance is preferred.

  • Proficiency in tax preparation and planning software; strong command of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain exceptional client service standards.

  • Experience in business development and relationship management.
