FusionHCR is seeking a skilled Nutanix Engineer to support the deployment, administration, and optimization of Nutanix infrastructure. This role will serve as an engineer and technical subject-matter expert, working closely with the Client’s IT team to support infrastructure modernization and maintain high-performance virtual environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and support Nutanix AOS/AHV hyperconverged infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot virtualization and infrastructure issues and resolve escalations.
- Manage VM lifecycle operations (creation, cloning, snapshots, migrations).
- Perform software/firmware upgrades, patching, and system maintenance.
- Support capacity planning, performance monitoring, and reporting.
- Assist with disaster recovery configuration, testing, and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with Client architects and technical teams to improve system performance and scalability.
- Develop documentation, operational procedures, and project updates for stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to enhance automation and operational efficiency.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments.
- 3+ years supporting virtualized infrastructure environments.
- Hands-on experience with Nutanix AOS/AHV platforms.
- Experience with:
- Nutanix deployment and configuration
- VM lifecycle management
- V2V/P2V migrations
- System upgrades and patching
- Capacity planning and DR support
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Nutanix Certified Professional – Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI)
- Nutanix Certified Services Core (NCS-CORE) or ability to obtain quickly
- Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or GSEC
- Experience with VMware ESXi or other hyperconverged platforms
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, or automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
