Workday Financial Systems Administrator

Draper, Utah
Workday Financial Systems Administrator
Location: Draper, UT or Las Vegas, NV (Onsite)
Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Compensation: Competitive base salary + bonus (additional base available for leadership-caliber candidates)

Overview
Fusion HCR is seeking a Workday Financial Systems Administrator to support and optimize Workday Financials in a dynamic, growth-focused environment. This role bridges the gap between Finance and IT — ensuring strong technical controls, business alignment, and best practices across multiple Workday modules.
The ideal candidate has a blend of technical and financial systems expertise, strong certifications, and the ability to partner with Finance leadership (CFO organization) and IT leadership (CIO/CTO organization). This position also offers the potential to evolve into a leadership role as the Workday program expands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, and maintain Workday Financials modules, with growing exposure to Prism, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage system security, user roles, and permissions in alignment with internal controls and compliance standards.
  • Support new module rollouts and ongoing system enhancements, ensuring best practices are applied.
  • Build and maintain complex financial reports, dashboards, and analytics, including loaded employee cost reporting.
  • Partner with Finance leadership (CFO org) and IT leadership (CIO/CTO org) to translate business needs into system solutions.
  • Troubleshoot system and integration issues; coordinate with IT for resolution.
  • Provide user training, documentation, and process guidance across Finance and related teams.
  • Contribute to governance practices, technical controls, and audit readiness.
  • Make application changes, configurations, and updates directly within Workday.

Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of Workday Financials administration experience (GL, AP, AR, Procurement, Expenses, Asset Management).
  • Multiple Workday certifications strongly preferred; client places high value on certified candidates.
  • Experience supporting Prism Analytics, budgeting, and forecasting modules is highly desirable.
  • Background may come from Finance/Accounting systems or IT systems administration, but candidates must be comfortable with both business and technical controls.
  • Experience working in organizations where reporting aligned to CFO or CIO/CTO is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday security, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience (formal or informal) is a plus; candidates with leadership potential may be considered for an elevated compensation package.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
