About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer lead the design, development, and integration of automation solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This role requires strong expertise in ServiceNow workflows, engineering, system design, development, and architecture for integrations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing platform performance, automating processes, and ensuring seamless integration with Microsoft Teams and other enterprise applications.
This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to drive automation initiatives, optimize system functionality, and enhance security integrations. Experience with Power Platform is a plus, and while law firm experience is preferred, it is not required.
The Platform & Automation Senior Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise automation platforms, including but not limited to ServiceNow, to ensure efficient and effective operations. This role involves accountability in configuring platforms, implementing new functionalities, maintaining system stability, and ensuring data integrity. The engineer collaborates with various stakeholders to understand their requirements, suggest, define, and create technical solutions, and support ongoing projects and operations.
Key Responsibilities ServiceNow Development & Engineering
Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow workflows, integrations, and automation solutions to streamline business processes.
Configure and customize ServiceNow modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, and Configuration Management.
Develop and maintain ServiceNow integrations with Microsoft Teams and other enterprise applications.
Work on system automation, optimization, security integrations, and performance enhancements.
Implement and support ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, business rules, UI actions, scripts, and workflow automation.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance of automation platforms.
Integration & Architecture
Architect and implement ServiceNow integrations with third-party tools and internal systems.
Develop solutions using REST/SOAP APIs, Web Services, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Leverage Power Platform (if applicable) for process automation and integration.
Manage the health of CMDB and collaborate with the Infrastructure team for asset and configuration management.
Process Optimization & Security
Evaluate and improve automation workflows, ensuring efficiency and adherence to best practices.
Work on security integrations and optimizations to enhance platform stability and compliance.
Participate in code migrations, platform upgrades, and system patching.
Collaboration & Leadership
Engage with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that align with business needs.
Coordinate and manage projects related to ServiceNow automation and integrations.
Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Provide technical guidance and documentation for ITIL processes and end-user support.
Qualifications & Skills
ServiceNow Administrator (CSA) certification preferred; additional certifications (ITSM, ITOM, CSM, etc.) are a plus.
5+ years of experience in application design, development, and support in a large-scale, complex environment.
3+ years of hands-on experience working with ServiceNow, including workflow automation, engineering, and integrations.
Strong expertise in ServiceNow development, scripting (JavaScript), Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, and HTML/CSS.
Experience with databases and data integrations within ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms.
Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM principles and process improvement methodologies.
Experience with Power Platform is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize system performance.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience working in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred but not required.
Hands-on experience in enterprise-wide automation projects and system security optimizations.
