Our client is seeking a skilled Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management (D365 FO) Technical Architect to drive process improvements and play a key role in planning the direction and technical approach to D365 FO within the organization. The prime candidate for this hands-on role will have extensive experience and a deep understanding of D365 FO with a proven ability to design and implement complex business solutions that involve multiple features and components, span multiple systems, and contributors across multiple teams and departments.

Our client is seeking a skilled Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management (D365 FO) Technical Architect to drive process improvements and play a key role in planning the direction and technical approach to D365 FO within the organization. The prime candidate for this hands-on role will have extensive experience and a deep understanding of D365 FO with a proven ability to design and implement complex business solutions that involve multiple features and components, span multiple systems, and contributors across multiple teams and departments.
Responsibilities:
- Tackle the most intricate and advanced technical challenges, identifying and resolving bugs and implementing high-level enhancements and solutions. Problems may span multiple systems and involve interactions between ISVs and provider hosted systems and processes.
- Demonstrate mastery of D365 FO development, tools, customization, and integration techniques by defining the technical approach to multi-system architectures.
- Drive process improvement and collaboration across departments.
- Lead development and enforcement of D365 technical standards and procedures, review code commits, providing candid feedback to peers and junior staff. Ensure proper design reviews are being completed and reference documentation is sufficient for external consumption, disaster recovery and audit requirements. Points out non-trivial code quality issues.
- Ability to drive communication, collaboration & solutioning with Sr. leadership & business partners.
- Review and analyze Functional Design Documents (FDDs) to ensure alignment with technical requirements, patterns, and feasibility.
- Manage technical approach for D365 FO updates, including ISV updates, planning, execution, and post-upgrade validation.
- Drive Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) initiatives for D365 FO development and deployment processes.
- Automate data refreshes and synchronization processes to ensure data consistency and integrity within D365 FO.
- Configure Azure services and integrate them with D365 FO to enhance performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within D365 FO.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team on best practices, coding standards, and emerging technologies in D365 FO.
- Stay updated with the latest features, updates, and patches released by Microsoft for D365 FO and evaluate their impact on the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field and 7 years of technical & leadership experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience architecting and implementing Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management and custom development solutions, with a proven track record of successful delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of D365 FO architecture, development tools, and customization capabilities.
- Proven track record of successful leading technical efforts in multiple D365 implementations, upgrades, and large-scale projects. Advanced organizational and product knowledge.
- Proven experience in reviewing and analyzing Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for D365 FO implementations.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical issues in D365 FO.
- Specialized expertise in areas such as performance optimization, pipeline automation and integrations.
- Should be a trusted thought leader amongst peers, able to recommend and drive standards & best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency in Azure services configuration and integration with D365 FO.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations are a plus.
