Territory Manager

Our Client is a leader in the construction and mechanical supply space. Based on current and projected growth in the Midwest, they're seeking a Territory Manager to identify new business prospects in Indianapolis, IN. It's a unique opportunity to join a progressive, employee-focused company at this stage in their growth.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Work closely with Sales Management to build plan to drive sales growth throughout the territory, establish sales goals, track, analyze & monitor results
  • Develop an opportunity pipeline to support sales goals for accelerated growth in the territory
  • Consistently prospect, efficiently qualify / disqualify to prioritize the highest potentials for new business
  • Develop a strong network of relationships with every point in the value chain (specifiers, buyers, influencers & decision makers)
  • Identify and develop strategic customer relationships at all levels in the organization
  • Become a subject matter expert on products to help guide customers to the best solution based on their requirements
  • Attend conferences, tradeshows, industry technical training and industry associations to build knowledge and relationships
  • Monitor competitive activity and gather market intelligence to provide regular updates on opportunities or threats
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or commensurate experience, in a similar field will be given strong consideration
  • 3+ years of sales or business development experience
  • Successful track record or meeting / exceeding goals
  • Experience in the HVAC / Mechanical / Electrical / Construction Supply markets preferred but not required
  • Experience with CRM is a plus
  • Passionate about continuous learning & growing the business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience preparing proposals
  • Limited travel
