Senior System Administrator - Cloud and Healthcare
Location: Las Vegas NV

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator with extensive experience in cloud computing, specifically with AWS and Azure platforms, coupled with a deep understanding of healthcare IT systems and security protocols. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure while ensuring the security and compliance of our healthcare data systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
  • Implement and optimize cloud services to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Monitor cloud resources and performance metrics, and implement necessary optimizations.
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management processes using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud environments, including network security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for healthcare IT systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for cloud and healthcare IT systems, resolving complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve system outages and performance issues.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents and emergencies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience as a System Administrator, with a focus on cloud computing and healthcare IT systems.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure, with relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate).
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare IT systems and industry standards, including HIPAA regulations and security best practices.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
