Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator with extensive experience in cloud computing, specifically with AWS and Azure platforms, coupled with a deep understanding of healthcare IT systems and security protocols. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure while ensuring the security and compliance of our healthcare data systems.
Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
- Implement and optimize cloud services to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Monitor cloud resources and performance metrics, and implement necessary optimizations.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management processes using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud environments, including network security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for healthcare IT systems.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for cloud and healthcare IT systems, resolving complex issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve system outages and performance issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents and emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a System Administrator, with a focus on cloud computing and healthcare IT systems.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure, with relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate).
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare IT systems and industry standards, including HIPAA regulations and security best practices.
- Experience with scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
