POS Deployment Technician (Contract – High Travel)
Location: Las Vegas-based
Travel: up to 100%

Position Overview:
Fusion HCR is seeking an experienced IT Technician to support a major Point-of-Sale (POS) deployment project for a top-tier hospitality client. These contract roles involve configuring and deploying POS terminals and supporting infrastructure across properties nationwide.

What matters most: The ability to professionally and accurately configure PC terminals and POS hardware, ensuring seamless staging, imaging, and integration into the environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to hospitality properties and serve as the hands-on IT resource during on-site POS deployments
  • Configure, image, and stage POS terminals (PC-based), ensuring successful domain joins, security protocols, and system readiness
  • Set up the staging environment including:
  • Unboxing and asset tagging
  • Configuring network switches
  • Performing ClearPass MAC registration
  • Applying Windows Group Policies, InfoSec updates, and local credential setups
  • Validate full POS functionality including:
  • Printers, kitchen display systems (KDS), tablets, credit card devices, and liquor guns
  • Set up and validate training room terminals and ensure proper menu loading/testing
  • Train on-site field services/IT staff on hardware configuration and ongoing maintenance
  • Work closely with F&B and corporate teams to validate system performance
  • Present professionally on-site, interfacing confidently with property leadership and executives
  • Rotate to new property every 2 weeks, based on schedule and deployment readiness

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on IT Technician or Field Services experience
  • Proven experience configuring PC terminals in corporate or hospitality environments
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, device imaging, domain join processes, and Group Policy
  • Experience configuring network switches and basic InfoSec compliance steps
  • Comfortable working independently and traveling extensively (up to 100%)
  • Polished, professional demeanor with ability to interact with on-site leadership and executives
  • Strong communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift and deploy hardware and set up physical staging areas
  • POS and InfoGenesis experience is a strong plus
  • Education and certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Network+) are a plus
