While the primary focus is SQL administration, experience with other technologies such as MongoDB and RabbitMQ is a plus. Gaming industry experience is also highly desirable.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, manage, and optimize SQL databases to support applications and products across various teams.
- Maintain high availability and performance of SQL environments, ensuring system stability and reliability.
- Perform database tuning, optimization, backup, recovery, and replication processes.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members in an agile environment to develop and support application features and functions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Provide technical guidance to team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.
- Monitor database performance and proactively address potential bottlenecks or issues.
- Participate in the design and implementation of data storage solutions that align with company standards and objectives.
- Actively contribute to the improvement of database processes and standards within the organization.

- Linux and Windows operating systems
- Kubernetes/Docker for containerization
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
- Logging frameworks and monitoring tools
- Active Directory
- Virtualization platforms such as Nutanix or VMware
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a SQL DBA in an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrable expertise in managing SQL databases, including installation, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of additional platforms and tools, such as MongoDB and RabbitMQ, is a plus.
- Strong understanding of database architecture and best practices.
- Experience in agile team environments, with familiarity in Kanban principles preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations as required.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in the gaming industry.
- Familiarity with database security best practices.
- Certification in database administration or related fields.
