Fusion HCR is hiring a Cyber Security Architect for a direct hire opportunity with a leader in the managed security space located in Atlanta. The role is onsite, relocation is paid.
The cybersecurity architect provides support for technology efforts of our clients Security Global Engineering organization. Under the guidance of the director of security architecture, the cybersecurity architect is responsible for the design, planning, and delivery of selected technology projects and supports development and execution of the technology strategy of Security. This position offices in Atlanta, Georgia but works regularly with teams across the United States and Switzerland.
The cybersecurity architect helps to establish and support the technology strategy and solution architecture for our clients Security information security solutions. The architect acts as a subject matter expert in support of both internal and external engagements and aids with establishing solution sets and advisory strategies. Technology projects use a wide variety of technology stacks and software languages. The architect will build information systems using top technologies, integrating custom applications and hardware, and creating highly secure systems, frequently and comfortably rapidly switching between technologies and problem sets based on project demands.
Our client has strong history developing hardware solutions to solve complex security problems. A multi-disciplinary approach, involving hardware and software solutions, is often required to meet project specifications. The cybersecurity architect should enjoy integrating software with hardware and working closely with colleagues to identify the right solution, regardless of technology, to solve complex problems.
Guide selected architecture efforts as technical advisor and / or principal engineer
Support technology evaluation and selection for our client’s line card
Engage in rapid prototyping activities in support of technology evaluation and integration
Support the sales organization with technology architecture and integration expertise
Assist in the execution of the business and technology strategies
Preferred Skills / Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related area.
Five+ years’ experience in information technology design and implementation experience.
Three+ years’ experience contributing to IT infrastructure projects.
Three+ years’ experience with various security technologies, processes, and concepts such as PKI, SSL, Identity Management, routing, switching, firewalls, malware, load balancing web application / L7 firewalls, reverse proxies, IDS / IPS, SIM / SEIM, NIST 800-53, FIPS-140-2, Authentication & Authorization, Client Certificates, OCSP, web application security, etc.
Experience with fundamental Internet protocols and standards such as: TCP / IP (including routing protocols), SSL / TLS, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SNMP, DNS, and DNSSEC.
Applied experience architecting and/or administering virtualization platforms (e.g. VMWare ESXi), enterprise security technologies, database systems (e.g. MS SQL), enterprise data storage systems (e.g., NetApp SAN), configuration management, and network technologies.
English language fluency
Previous experience in customer facing role consulting on, delivering, and / or supporting technical products or services
Self-motivated, strong communicator with a direct / open communication style and presentation skills
Able to operate effectively under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
