Sr. Consultant, Product Owner

Columbus, OH
Contract: 3 Month Contract to Hire
Required to have great skills in effective product leadership and will have day-to-day responsibility for the smooth and effective running of products with a focus on communication, risk mitigation, quality assurance and great delivery. Product Owners must be highly motivated, “self-starters” with a sense of ownership, and a strong desire to succeed. Strong analytical skills and a passion in building trusting relationships.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree required. 5-7 years product experience; Online/Mobile strategy, Digital product marketing, product management or product ownership, or Digital product delivery experience Experience with Desktop and Mobile Web, Analytics, Content Management Systems, SDLC, Ability to translate Business needs to Technology Teams. Experience in managing teams focused on User-Centered Design and Usability.
Understanding and experience in managing product development through agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban etc.)
PMP Degree or MBA Required  
In-depth familiarity and knowledge around project management tools and/or software packages. Knowledge and experience in graphic design, electronic advertising and marketing methods, web development workflows and implementation processes, systems engineering principles, Internet security controls and best practices for managing websites and other interactive media are equally important. Knowledge and experience of code languages (HTML, CSS, .NET etc.), Content Management Software (SharePoint, Drupal, WordPress etc.) and back-end infrastructure (web services, API or database development).
Experience in creating integrated product road maps/project plans, web sitemaps, functionality descriptions, wireframes, etc. Understanding and experience executing basic principles of project management (budget control, task tracking and reporting, risk and issue analysis and quality assurance). Manage product development from current state to closure; creates and executes product work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Manage and/or Execute any internal quality assurance and user acceptance testing process to deliver product that’s in line with business, functional and technical requirements. Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities; Partner with IT, Content Management and Business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and communicate a clear resolution plan to ensure they are addressed in a timely manner. Effectively lead and facilitate meetings and presentations by setting a clear agenda, ensuring proper preparation and following up with the documenting of key insights, decisions and actionable next steps.
