Senior Business Analyst – Room Booking Engine Location: Las Vegas, NV (Hybrid)

About the Role We’re seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to join our Digital Products team to focus on the Room Booking Engine (RBE). This role is ideal for a senior level BA who thrives at the intersection of technical systems, facilitating API integrations, and driving booking engine features and enhancements. As a BA, you’ll work with a dedicated development team owning backlog health, driving refinement sessions, partnering with UX and developers, and supporting a dynamic group of stakeholders across revenue management, marketing, brand and IT. You will be a key liaison between the business and technical teams — bridging vision and execution.
Responsibilities
Own the Backlog, Act as Product Owner across web initiatives, responsible for backlog quality and day-to-day refinement.
Maintain a consistent pipeline of refined user stories ensuring stories are ‘ready’ for sprint planning
Write detailed, testable user stories with acceptance criteria and traceability to business goals
Flag dependencies, blockers, gaps and edge cases proactively
Own ticket triage, story clean up, release notes, and Loop documentation
Lead Discovery & Requirements
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to capture business needs
Translate high-level goals into epics, features, and detailed user stories
Define functional and non-functional requirements and edge cases
Provide Central Reservation System Expertise
Support business users using our back-end Central Reservation System (CRS), acting as first line support for questions and issues, and as a liaison to translate problems to our vendor
Work with developers to escalate bugs or contribute to component enhancements
Collaborate with Cross Functional Teams
Run refinement and planning sessions in partnership with product, PMO and Engineering
Collaborate with UX on Figma handoffs, validations and ensuring designs match business context and user stories
Drive content strategy discussions, layout optimizations and scalable tagging practices
Facilitate Testing & Delivery
Partner with QA to validate functionality, write test cases, and support UAT
Own release note creation and knowledge transfer to business users
Track staging and production changes
Connect Data to Decisions
Analyze data trends, user behavior, and VOC to uncover improvement areas
Create documentation (e.g. process flows, data mappings, integration specs)
Serve as SME for RBE
Enable Scalable Product Practices
Champion consistent documentation and templates across teams
Partner with Product Ops to evolve our BA practice
Contribute to team-level OKRs
Requirements
5+ years as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role on digital teams
Proficient in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios
Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies
Tools: Jira, Confluence, Loop, Figma, ADO (Azure DevOps), or similar
Hands-on experience with booking engine and CRS platforms
Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex ideas across audiences
