Position Overview

• Fusion HCR is seeking a Backend-focused .NET Developer to support the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise-grade sportsbook and gaming platforms for a leading casino technology organization.
• This role is heavily backend-oriented, focusing on C#, .NET, APIs, services, and data-driven systems that power sportsbook, wagering, and gaming-related applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on sportsbook industry experience, understands real-time transaction systems, and can build scalable, secure backend services in highly regulated environments.
• Experience with Blazor and/or MAUI is a plus, but the primary emphasis is on backend architecture, APIs, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and modern .NET (.NET 6+)
• Build and enhance high-performance, transaction-heavy systems supporting sportsbook and gaming platforms
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and service-based architectures
• Collaborate on microservices and event-driven architectures supporting real-time data and wagering workflows
• Maintain and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and data access layers
• Participate across the full SDLC including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support
• Troubleshoot backend issues related to performance, data integrity, concurrency, and system reliability
• Work closely with product, QA, DevOps, and regulatory stakeholders in a highly controlled environment
• Contribute to backend coding standards, documentation, and best practices
• Support on-prem and cloud-connected environments as needed

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience using C# and .NET
• Strong experience building backend services, APIs, and business logic layers
• Sportsbook industry experience (sports betting, wagering platforms, odds, ticketing, or real-time gaming systems) strongly preferred
• Solid experience with SQL Server, performance tuning, and data modeling
• Experience working in high-availability, transaction-heavy systems
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and scalable backend architecture
• Experience with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows
• Ability to work onsite in Las Vegas

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Blazor (Server or WebAssembly)
• Experience with MAUI (or Xamarin) for cross-platform applications
• Exposure to Azure or hybrid cloud environments
• Familiarity with secure coding practices in regulated gaming environments
• Experience supporting production systems with uptime and compliance requirements
• Automated testing experience (unit/integration testing frameworks)
