Position Overview

Fusion HCR is seeking a Senior .NET Developer with deep backend expertise to design and build scalable, high-performance systems supporting enterprise sportsbook and gaming platforms.

This is a senior-level engineering role requiring strong hands-on experience with modern .NET, distributed systems, containerized environments, API development, event-driven architectures, and SQL Server. The ideal candidate has experience building resilient, transaction-heavy systems in regulated environments and understands how to design services that scale.

This is not a junior or mid-level role — we are seeking engineers who can architect, build, and own critical backend components.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, design, and develop scalable backend systems using C# and modern .NET (.NET 6/7/8)
Build robust RESTful APIs and service-based architectures
Design and implement event-driven systems using message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, etc.)
Develop and maintain microservices running in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
Write clean, maintainable, testable code following SOLID principles and domain-driven design concepts
Optimize and tune SQL Server databases, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and performance
Build systems that support high-volume, real-time transaction processing
Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and production support
Participate in architectural discussions and mentor other developers
Support secure coding practices in a highly regulated gaming environment

Required Qualifications

7+ years of professional software development experience
Deep hands-on expertise in C# and .NET
Strong experience designing and building APIs and distributed systems
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)
Experience implementing message brokers and event-driven architectures
Strong SQL Server experience including performance tuning and query optimization
Experience working in high-availability, transaction-heavy systems
Strong understanding of microservices architecture patterns
Experience with Git and modern development workflows
Ability to work onsite in Las Vegas

Highly Preferred

Sportsbook or real-time wagering platform experience
Experience with Blazor (Server or WebAssembly)
Experience with MAUI (cross-platform UI development)
Azure cloud or hybrid-cloud experience
Experience in regulated industries (gaming, finance, healthcare)
Automated testing (unit/integration) and CI/CD pipeline experience
