A Fusion HCR client in the casino and hospitality industry is seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to support and maintain critical on-premise database environments.
This role will focus primarily on Microsoft SQL Server, with exposure to Oracle databases and casino-specific systems. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on DBA experience in regulated, high-availability environments and is comfortable supporting mission-critical applications.
Experience supporting casino systems such as IGT or OPERA is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server databases in an on-premise environment.
Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
Monitor database performance, capacity, and availability; proactively tune and optimize systems.
Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production environments.
Support Oracle databases as needed (administration, monitoring, basic troubleshooting).
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to support enterprise systems.
Ensure database environments meet security, compliance, and operational standards.
Provide support for casino and hospitality systems, including integrations where applicable.
Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as required.
Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience as a Database Administrator supporting on-prem environments.
Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (administration, performance tuning, backups, recovery).
