Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager – Gaming Vertical

Position Summary:
Fusion HCR is seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver complex, cross-functional projects in a dynamic casino gaming and IT environment. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, particularly within the casino gaming sector, and be able to manage large-scale IT upgrades and integrations across an enterprise. This is a hands-on role responsible for driving successful project execution from initiation through go-live, ensuring alignment with regulatory, budgetary, and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
Lead all phases of assigned projects, from planning through execution and closure.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans using established PM methodologies.
Create and maintain required documentation including project charters, schedules, and PM artifacts.
Ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and aligned with business objectives.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
Act as the primary liaison between internal departments (IT, operations, compliance) and external vendors.
Facilitate clear and consistent communication between all stakeholders.
Lead team meetings, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
Risk, Issue & Compliance Management
Identify and manage project risks and issues; maintain RIDA logs.
Ensure compliance with gaming regulations and standards in coordination with legal and compliance teams.
Anticipate and mitigate project obstacles, adjusting plans as needed.
Systems Integration & Quality Assurance
Oversee integration of gaming IT systems, ensuring functionality, security, and regulatory compliance.
Lead testing and validation efforts to ensure quality standards prior to go-live.
Coordinate user training and system handoffs.
Budget & Resource Management
Manage project budgets, track spend against forecast, and adjust as needed.
Oversee vendor contracts, resource planning, and staffing allocations.
Monitor and report on resourcing, quality, and scope issues.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Provide regular status updates to stakeholders covering timelines, risks, budgets, and key deliverables.
Track project performance and drive issue resolution.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Motivate and guide project teams in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Conduct post-implementation reviews and identify areas for future improvement.
Qualifications:
Required:
5+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years in the casino gaming industry and 4+ years leading IT projects.
Deep knowledge of casino systems: Slot Management, Table Games, Cage Operations, Loyalty Programs, Payment Systems, and Online Gaming Platforms.
Experience leading large-scale upgrades or implementations of gaming platforms.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with MS Project and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
PMP or similar industry-recognized certification.
Familiarity with Gaming Control Board regulations or other relevant compliance standards.
Licensing:
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain any required gaming licenses or certifications.
