Job Title: SQL Developer
Location: Las Vegas, NV (100% Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SQL Developer to join our data team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects. You will work closely with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to support data-related tasks and contribute to the overall performance and scalability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Azure SQL Database solutions, with a focus on Azure SQL Hyperscale.
  • Create and manage high availability configurations, including geo-replication, failover groups, and backup/restore strategies in Azure.
  • Optimize and tune T-SQL queries, indexes, and stored procedures for performance across large datasets.
  • Develop and maintain SSIS packages and SSRS reports as needed, while ensuring core focus remains on robust database infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to automate database provisioning, scaling, and monitoring.
  • Implement and maintain data security, role-based access control, and compliance configurations in cloud-based SQL environments.
  • Build tools and processes for database CI/CD using tools like Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and ARM/Bicep templates.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Analyze complex data requirements and design efficient database structures to support business needs.
  • Ensure data consistency, availability, and system performance across highly regulated environments.

Required Qualifications:
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience with SQL development (e.g., T-SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
  • Proficient in writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Solid understanding of relational database design and normalization principles.
  • Experience with database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration practices.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot SQL performance issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ensure data consistency, availability, and system performance across highly regulated environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., Azure SQL, Amazon RDS).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Basic understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data tasks.
  • Understanding of the Sports Wagering Industry and wagering concepts.
