Analyze business needs; design, develop, and maintain business processes and software applications related to the ERP system including database, screen design, light coding, etc. in the development lifecycle. This position works closely to assist in system production support and enhancements including projects. Develops and assists users with reports and retrieval of data extracts. Friedman/Frontier experience strongly preferred.
Function as Business Analyst to accurately identify, prioritize and manage business needs.
Designs, delivers, and manages critical business applications.
Drives process improvements through application development.
Provides feedback to IT leadership on suggestions for process improvements, upgrades or replacements and lifecycle status on all business systems.
Documents procedures and operation methods.
Maintains and develops corporate ERP system.
Works with internal IT and customer/vendor systems to ensure smooth B2B operations.
Monitors and responds to trouble reports, troubleshoots problems, and provides feedback regarding service impacting events.
Participates in critical after-hours support, as needed.
Develop ad hoc reports as needed.
Documents, train users as needed.
Ensure unit and integration testing of systems before any project rollout.
Leads business application related projects.
As applicable, plan, manage, execute, and monitor project team and progress.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in management, Business, Computer Science or equivalent education and work experience.
7-10 years’ experience administrating and developing business critical applications.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Extensive experience with Friedman ERP system, or strong willingness to learn.
Experience with FeneVision software, or strong willingness to learn.
Experience with end-to-end business process as it pertains to operations, supply chain, quote to cash, procurement, finance etc.
Experience with business process mapping using Microsoft Visio or similar.
Preferred experience with IBM DB2 database (and query using SQL)
Excellent communication skills, specifically gathering system requirements and business analysis.
Strong project management and organization skills
Experience with system lifecycle management and application development methodologies
Working knowledge of manufacturing process
Ability to communicate difficult / sensitive information to various levels of the organization.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
Research new technologies and translate the implications to business benefits.
Maintain solid working relationships with peers, user community and vendors.
