Director of Compliance

Position Summary

This role is ideal for a compliance professional with deep regulatory and licensing experience in the gaming industry who is ready to take the next step into a director-level position or has a few years experience as a Director. You’ll lead a small team and be responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance and licensing activities across multiple jurisdictions. This position is hands-on, execution focused, and vital to ensuring our products and operations meet all regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all regulatory and licensing activities for the company, including product submissions, jurisdictional filings, and corporate licensing.

  • Serve as the main point of contact with gaming regulatory agencies, fostering positive relationships and representing the company with professionalism and accuracy.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with gaming laws and regulations across multiple U.S. and international jurisdictions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams including legal, product development, and engineering to ensure compliance is integrated early in product lifecycle.

  • Lead and mentor a small compliance team; provide guidance, training, and development to support growth.

  • Track and interpret regulatory changes and trends; provide risk-based analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Assist in preparing compliance reports and documentation for internal and external audits.

  • Support business expansion by managing licensing for new markets and helping navigate regulatory onboarding.


Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in gaming compliance, licensing, or regulatory affairs, ideally within the slot machine or broader gaming industry.

  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. gaming regulatory frameworks; international gaming compliance experience a plus.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; capable of interfacing with regulators, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Proven track record of managing complex compliance workflows and meeting regulatory deadlines.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and changing regulatory environments; proactive in identifying solutions.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a desire to step into a director role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or related field (JD or advanced degree a plus but not required).
