Interior Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and creative Commercial Interior Designer to develop innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling interior spaces for commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in space planning, material selection, project management, and client collaboration. This role requires expertise in design software and a strong understanding of commercial building codes and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Concept Development: Create and present design concepts that align with client needs, brand identity, and functional requirements.
  • Space Planning: Develop efficient layouts and floor plans for commercial environments such as offices, retail spaces, hospitality, and healthcare facilities.
  • Material & Finish Selection: Choose furniture, fixtures, materials, and finishes that balance aesthetics, durability, and budget constraints.
  • Client Collaboration: Conduct client meetings, gather requirements, and provide design recommendations while ensuring satisfaction.
  • 3D Visualization & Renderings: Use software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite to develop drawings, renderings, and mood boards.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with architects, contractors, and vendors to oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to design intent and timelines.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure designs meet commercial building codes, ADA requirements, and sustainability standards.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Prepare project budgets, estimates, and procurement plans to align with financial constraints.
  • Site Visits & Inspections: Conduct on-site reviews during construction and installation phases to monitor quality and address issues.
  • Industry Research: Stay updated on commercial design trends, new materials, and sustainability practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial interior design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA regulations, and commercial design standards
  • Experience with FF&E selection, procurement, and budgeting
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • NCIDQ certification (preferred but not required)
