A large-scale gaming and hospitality organization is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead medium- to large-sized technology projects from planning through delivery. Initial initiatives include point-of-sale (POS) and Keywatcher system implementations. The role involves coordinating with IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and other external partners to deliver projects that meet agreed-upon business requirements, schedules, budgets, and quality standards. The organization serves guests and team members in a fast-paced environment and emphasizes professional conduct, collaboration, and service. Position Overview

Fusion HCR is seeking a Project Manager II – IT to independently plan and execute medium- to large-sized IT projects, beginning with POS and Keywatcher system implementations. The successful candidate will turn high-level requirements and success criteria into actionable project plans, coordinate resources and work across IT and business teams, and manage delivery against scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

 

This role requires ongoing stakeholder communication and proactive oversight of project risks, issues, and dependencies. The Project Manager will use established project processes and enterprise tools, obtain stakeholder alignment on proposed changes, and validate deliverables against agreed requirements. Projects may involve vendors and service providers, span multiple properties or locations, and require coordination with teams beyond the immediate work group. The role works independently, with occasional quality oversight from an IT Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans for medium- to large-sized initiatives based on defined features, functions, and success criteria.

  • Estimate resource needs, assign tasks, and communicate expectations, accountabilities, and dependencies.

  • Establish communication plans that keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout project delivery.

  • Manage execution against scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations using enterprise project standards and tools.

  • Track project performance and document proposed changes; secure appropriate stakeholder and steering committee alignment.

  • Identify and manage risks and issues, developing action plans and contingencies as needed.

  • Coordinate with IT professionals, business sponsors, stakeholders, vendors, service providers, and strategic partners.

  • Validate deliverables, participate in project stage-gates and post-project reviews, and identify opportunities to improve delivery processes.

  • Provide ongoing status updates, manage expectations, and support multiple concurrent projects through to completion.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

  • At least 8 years of IT industry or equivalent technical experience and at least 5 years of project management experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Advanced proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project and SharePoint.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to broad audiences and interact professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

  • Strong organization, attention to detail, process orientation, customer service focus, and interpersonal skills.

  • Adaptability in a changing environment and ability to maintain composure while meeting deadlines.

  • Authorization to work in the United States and ability to obtain and maintain required Nevada gaming registration and other legally or policy-required credentials.

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to meet the role’s property-access and physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Professional certification such as PMP or ITIL is beneficial.
