Fusion HCR is hiring for CNC Machinist to join a cutting edge manufacturing company!
Position Summary
We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join our growing manufacturing team. Multiple positions are available across a variety of shifts, offering opportunities for candidates with different scheduling preferences. In this role, you'll set up, operate, and maintain 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers while producing high-precision components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring product quality, troubleshooting machining issues, and supporting safe, efficient production.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines according to work instructions, blueprints, and manufacturing plans.
- Perform machine startups, tooling setups, offsets, and program adjustments as needed.
- Inspect in-process and finished parts using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and CMMs.
- Monitor product quality, replace worn tooling, and troubleshoot machining issues.
- Complete production documentation and inspection records accurately.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and report equipment repair needs.
- Follow all quality, safety, and production procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and support special projects.
- Mentor less experienced machinists as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience operating and setting up 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines.
- Experience with CNC machine controls and precision measuring tools.
- Strong shop math skills, including geometry and fractions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Technical or trade school certification.
- Knowledge of GD&T, G-Code/M-Code, and tool geometry.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
- Regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 55 pounds.
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment in a production environment.
