Senior Financial Analyst

Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial insights that support strategic business decisions and drive organizational performance. This role is responsible for financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and delivering actionable recommendations to leadership. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive leadership.
  • Perform variance analysis by comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts, identifying key business drivers.
  • Partner with business leaders to support strategic initiatives, capital investments, and operational decision-making.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple departments.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and create dashboards to communicate financial performance.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support business opportunities, pricing strategies, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Improve financial reporting processes through automation and continuous process improvement.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with company financial policies and reporting standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, advanced formulas, and data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) preferred.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information to leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred but not required.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional business partners.
  • Knowledge of financial planning systems and reporting tools.
