Apply to Specialty Imaging Technologist - CT Scan
- Position Summary:
Performs diagnostic exams on patients in the specialized areas of mammography, computed tomography, and special procedures. Uses specialized equipment, techniques and/or computer programs to perform the work.

Education/Experience:
Successful completion of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:State of Nevada License in Radiology. Valid American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) Registered in Radiography; National Certification in specialty area such as Computed Tomography or Angiography. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferences will be given to applicants who document the following:
1) Valid State of Nevada License in Radiology;
2) Valid American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) Registered in Computed Tomography;
3) Previous 3 (three) years experience in performing CT exams in a Trauma setting and;
4) CT interventional exams on patients; -
Knowledge of:
Procedures and protocols associated with area of assignment; specialized equipment used in area of assignment; radiography protocols and procedures; quality assurance and quality control measures; personal computers; anatomy and physiology of the human body; contrast application and contrast reaction symptoms; venipuncture techniques; department and hospital safety practices and principles; patient rights; age specific patient care practices; infection control policies and practices; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures.Skill in:
Utilizing computers and specialized application software for scanning and diagnostic evaluation; utilizing specialized equipment and techniques for diagnostic evaluation; applying aseptic techniques; positioning patients properly to maximize results; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
