Temporary Payroll Specialist

Miamisburg, OH

Our client is seeking a temporary Payroll Specialist for a 6-week contract assignment. This individual will assist with payroll processing, employee records administration, and various HR support functions while helping ensure the timely and accurate completion of payroll and personnel-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process regular payroll cycles utilizing an automated payroll system
  • Review and validate employee timekeeping records and related reports
  • Ensure all time records have received appropriate approvals
  • Audit payroll data for accuracy, compliance, and policy adherence
  • Maintain payroll-related employee information, including deductions, tax updates, direct deposit changes, and garnishments
  • Perform quality control reviews of payroll entries prior to submission
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll processing
  • Review and reconcile data received from third-party providers
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and post-processing audits
  • Maintain electronic employee records and documentation
  • Provide administrative support to the HR and Payroll teams as needed
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior payroll processing experience
  • Experience with payroll and HRIS systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
