Position Overview
Fusion HCR is seeking a Systems Support Engineer I to support gaming technology deployments, production environments, and customer support operations. This role is ideal for an early-career IT professional with gaming industry experience, foundational Linux knowledge, and strong troubleshooting skills.
The Systems Support Engineer will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, assist with system installations and upgrades, maintain lab and test environments, and support customer deployments both remotely and onsite. Candidates must be self-motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a regulated gaming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for gaming technology systems and applications
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and operating system issues
• Assist with production support activities and issue resolution
• Document incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures
System Deployment & Maintenance
• Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software solutions
• Support customer deployments and system implementations
• Maintain internal lab and testing environments
• Assist with software release validation and certification activities
Infrastructure Support
• Support Linux-based environments and basic system administration tasks
• Assist with virtualization and containerized environments, including Kubernetes-based platforms
• Support network connectivity troubleshooting and system diagnostics
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to maintain system stability
Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience in IT support, systems administration, technical support, or related field
• Gaming industry experience required
• Foundational Linux administration and troubleshooting experience
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, virtualization, or container technologies preferred
• Experience supporting hardware and software environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
Additional Requirements
• Must be based in Las Vegas, Nevada
• Valid passport required
• Ability to travel 10-30% as needed
• Must be eligible to obtain gaming licenses in multiple jurisdictions
• Must successfully pass criminal and financial background investigations required by gaming regulators
