IT Asset Processing Support Technician (Contract)
Fusion HCR is seeking an IT Asset Processing Specialist for a contract with our client who is a municipality.

We are seeking two contract resources to support a large-scale IT asset processing initiative for a public sector organization. This fully onsite engagement will focus on processing a backlog of endpoint devices and legacy IT equipment currently stored in designated staging areas.

The selected candidates will assist with wiping hard drives and other data-bearing media using established procedures and provided equipment, organizing and preparing hardware for redistribution, donation, or surplus processing, and supporting related operational and technical tasks as needed.

This role is ideal for dependable individuals who are comfortable with repetitive, hands-on work in a structured IT or warehouse-style environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process desktop computers, laptops, monitors, and related peripherals
  • Perform hard drive and media wiping using provided wiping stations
  • Maintain basic activity and processing logs
  • Label, palletize, and stage equipment for auction, donation, or disposal
  • Move equipment between storage and designated staging areas
  • Follow established handling and processing procedures
  • Support additional labor or basic IT-related tasks as assigned
  • Work under the direction of an onsite technical lead

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to perform repetitive, labor-intensive work in an onsite environment
  • Ability to safely lift, move, sort, and stage computer equipment
  • Basic familiarity with computers, laptops, monitors, and peripherals
  • Strong attention to detail and dependable attendance
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Comfortable maintaining simple tracking or activity logs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory handling, warehouse operations, or equipment staging
  • Prior exposure to IT asset handling or desktop support environments
  • Familiarity with carts, pallets, labels, and standard equipment handling tools
  • Experience in structured, task-based work environments
  • Previous experience supporting public sector or enterprise IT operations is a plus

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite position in the Las Vegas/Henderson, Nevada area. Candidates should be comfortable working in storage, staging, and office-based technical environments throughout the duration of the project.
