Position Overview Fusion HCR is seeking a POS Systems Support Technician to support point-of-sale (POS) systems across a fast-paced gaming and hospitality environment. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience supporting POS hardware and software, especially within restaurants, hotels, or casino environments. The focus of this role is day-to-day support, troubleshooting, device setup, and system maintenance, with an emphasis on platforms like Simphony (Oracle MICROS) or similar POS systems.
Key Responsibilities POS Systems Support (Hardware & Software)
Provide day-to-day support for POS systems, including Oracle MICROS Simphony or similar platforms
Troubleshoot POS terminals, printers, payment devices, and peripherals
Support software issues including transaction errors, menu updates, and system connectivity
Install, configure, and replace POS hardware as needed
User & Operational Support
Provide Tier 1 / Tier 2 support for restaurant, bar, and casino staff
Assist with user access, permissions, and terminal configurations
Support onboarding of new devices and locations
Respond to on-site support requests in a timely manner
System Maintenance & Stability
Monitor POS system performance and escalate issues when needed
Assist with software updates, patches, and system changes
Ensure system uptime across a 24/7 operational environment
Collaboration & Vendor Support
Work with vendors and internal IT teams to resolve POS-related issues
Support integrations with payment systems and back-end applications
Maintain documentation for setups, issues, and resolutions
Qualifications Required Experience
Experience supporting POS systems (hardware and software)
Experience in helpdesk, desktop support, or field support roles
Strong troubleshooting skills across devices and applications
Ability to work in fast-paced, customer-facing environments
Technical Skills
Experience with POS platforms (Simphony, MICROS, Toast, Aloha, etc.)
Hardware support (terminals, receipt printers, scanners, payment devices)
Basic networking knowledge (connectivity, IP devices, troubleshooting)
Experience with user access and device configuration
Nice to Have
Experience with Simphony / Oracle MICROS environments
Gaming, casino, or hospitality experience
Exposure to Active Directory or endpoint management tools
Additional Requirements
Must be able to pass a gaming background check
Comfortable working onsite and supporting a 24/7 environment
Ability to move between locations on property as needed
