Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Interoperability & EHR Support Specialist to support immunization information systems and electronic health record (EHR) integrations. This role focuses on provider support, data upload functionality, and ongoing system connectivity for healthcare organizations participating in Florida SHOTS. This is a fast-paced, multi-client environment ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, training, and working across healthcare technology platforms.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree plus 8+ years of experience in:
Immunization Information Systems (IIS) and/or
Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR)
Experience working with diverse healthcare customer types
Strong understanding of:
Medical practice management
Healthcare billing workflows
EMR/EHR systems
Proficiency with web-based meeting platforms for remote training
Advanced multitasking ability with experience managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Key Responsibilities Provider Support & Training
Provide daily phone and web-based support to healthcare organizations
Deliver data upload training to ensure successful system integration
Conduct virtual trainings and develop educational materials for providers and EHR vendors
Assist with onboarding and expansion of provider sites within the system
System Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Collaborate with Field Trainers to:
Support data uploads
Troubleshoot EHR interface issues
Monitor and analyze system logs (e.g., upload activity, connectivity status)
Identify and resolve:
Stagnant interfaces
Upload failures
Connectivity issues
Proactively reach out to organizations with delinquent or failed uploads
Coordination & Reporting
Partner with internal teams to track:
Enrollment status
EHR connectivity
System performance
Participate in weekly team meetings to review system status and priorities
Maintain regular communication with stakeholders via:
Email
Phone
Reports
Monthly meetings
Provide monthly reporting on:
Training activities
Provider contacts
Production metrics
Data Integrity & System Maintenance
Add and manage provider sites within the system as organizations expand
Cross-reference vendor client lists with system data to ensure accurate connectivity and enrollment status
Support system updates and changes as directed
Data Security & Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to data security and confidentiality policies
Comply with all applicable standards when handling sensitive healthcare data

Providers are successfully uploading and maintaining data without interruption
Issues are identified and resolved proactively
Strong collaboration across field teams and stakeholders
