Epic Analyst - Access and Revenue Cycle

Las Vegas, NV

Our client is seeking an Epic Application Analyst to support Access and Revenue Cycle operations, including access, billing, and claims workflows supported by the Epic platform. This role is responsible for analyzing business processes, interpreting policies and constraints, and translating operational needs into effective Epic application functionality. The analyst conducts detailed investigations, documents business and system requirements, and actively participates in application build, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare informatics, or a closely related field

  • Three (3) years of experience in an operational healthcare area impacted by Epic implementations

  • Two (2) years of hands-on Epic application build, testing, and support experience

  • Epic implementation experience required

  • One (1) or more years of HIM coding experience


Licensure & Certification

  • Active Epic certification in a relevant product or the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire

  • Required Epic certifications at time of hire:

    • Resolute Hospital Billing and Claims

    • Epic HIM Certification

  • Continued certification maintenance is required; failure to obtain or maintain certification may result in termination


Knowledge

  • Healthcare business workflows supporting access, revenue, billing, and claims functions

  • Epic EHR systems and healthcare information systems

  • Change management, project management, and analytical methodologies

  • Public administration and operational principles related to assigned functional areas

  • Applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance standards

  • Standard office procedures, records management, and business communication practices

  • Hospital safety, infection control, patient rights, and emergency response protocols


Skills & Abilities

  • Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly terms

  • Analyze workflows, identify system gaps, and design effective solutions

  • Exercise independent judgment in problem-solving and workflow design

  • Develop and implement goals, policies, procedures, and work standards

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative system analysis

  • Troubleshoot application and system issues

  • Train and support end users on Epic EHR functionality

  • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders

  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships

  • Use computers, software applications, and office equipment efficiently and safely
