Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Senior Data Infrastructure Architect is to bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions while creating architecture implementation plans and developing risk assessment of related applications.
Qualifications:
- 10 years in Software specific technologies
- Microsoft technologies and frameworks, e.g., SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, Web API.
- Web services (SOAP, RESTful).
- Concepts of Object-Oriented Design, CMS Integration, Web Application Security.
- Experience in integrating with Cloud technologies, Platform (PaaS) & Application (SaaS).
- Experience in designing UML diagrams.
- 10 years in Data specific technologies
- OLTP and OLAP data solutions leveraging MDM, BI and data warehouse development techniques.
- Understanding of the differences between relational and object modeling.
- Data modeling - Relational Database Design; Dimensional Database Design; Hub and Spoke Database Design.
- ETL and Data integration techniques.
- Experience in designing UML diagrams.
- Demonstrated experience of working in a highly regulated environment (MICS, PCI, SOX).
- Training and experience with ITSM practices.
- Working knowledge of Architectural Principles and Design methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in MIS or similar technical program or acceptable industry and work experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the process for choosing, buying or building technology solutions.
- Review project concepts and proposals and develops appropriate technical designs to facilitate integration into the enterprise architecture. Technical designs include software, systems, storage, virtualization, logical and physical networks and security strategies to comply with established standards and meet the requirements of the organization.
- Manage and prioritize the allocation of work (projects and service requests) across the team and deliver them within the defined scope, schedule, and budget.
- Perform product reviews, technology evaluations and service delivery considerations.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, integrity, and efficient operation of the enterprise IT architecture is sustained.
- Act as project lead in the design and review of new technology.
- Conduct capacity planning as needed.
- Conduct research on products, solutions, services, architecture designs, and standards remain abreast of developments in the technology industry.
- Establish and implement design principles, policies, and strategies to ensure the security and integrity of the enterprise technology environment.
- Prepare design documentations, illustrations and white papers to support design decisions.
- Perform all work in a manner to ensure interoperability and maintain compliance of enterprise computing systems.
- Ensure that proposed and existing technology and security architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a policy for standardizing infrastructure configuration standards.
- Provide recommendations to senior or executive IT management regarding product/vendor selection, technology evolution, and design strategies.
- Provide root cause analysis, developing and executing corrective action plans for resolution of complex technical issues related to platform and service performance disruptions.
