Overview: The primary responsibility of the Senior Product Manager is to oversee the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with the Business Partner to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Responsibilities:
· Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis.
· Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
· Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
· Work independently with Business Partners and Vendors to define concepts.
· Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
· Serves as the conduit between the business community (internal and external partners) and the software development team or vendor through which requirements flow.
· Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
· Collaborate with developers, vendors, and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
· Be the liaison between the business, technology teams and support teams.
· Develop and manage specific budget and technology roadmaps for their LOB technology investments including the development and presentation of business cases for their LOB to the capital committee.
· Effectively market technology solutions within their business area and promote IT’s adoption and implementation of the solution.
· Manage risk associated with change impacting their area of responsibility.
· Handle customer complaints and address underlying cause (people, process, and technology).
· Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples.
· Be an expert with respect to your product vertical.
· Identify and present innovative and creative product solutions.
· Display a high level of critical thinking in cross-functional process analysis and problem resolution for new and existing products.
· Communicate with their Business Partners through regularly scheduled status reports and operational reviews.
· Manage business relationship, set expectations, develop and negotiate service level agreements, and drive continual service improvement.
· Lead the development, approval, training, and communication of new products/product changes and their associated customer, operational, system, & process impacts to the various internal organizations.
· Utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required
Minimum Qualifications:
· 5+ years of product management experience
· Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
· Minimum of five years of Product Management experience in IT, with a deep knowledge in a minimum of two of the following technical disciplines: application development, operations, business process management, business analysis, business relationship management
· Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments
· Have interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts.
· Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
· Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
· Excellent analytical and technical skills
· Excellent planning and organizational skills
· Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations
· Knowledge of information principles and processes
· Basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting
· Understanding of the political climate of the enterprise, and how to respond to political challenges
· 21 years of age.
· Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration, and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
