Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead the financial operations of our international manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GAAP accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial management. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to manage accounting teams across multiple locations, ensure compliance with international accounting standards, and support business growth through data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the company’s financial operations, including general accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS (if applicable), and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Implement and enforce strong internal controls to mitigate financial risk and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage and mentor a global accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Coordinate audits, tax filings, and financial reviews with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
- Optimize financial systems, processes, and ERP systems to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights that drive business performance.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and international financial strategies, ensuring compliance with foreign tax and accounting regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a management role within a manufacturing or international business environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency financial operations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment.
