Fusion HCR is hiring! Contract Opportunity – Project Manager, this is an Onsite opportunity, working with our client in a local government.
Functions as the project manager from original concept through final implementation of any size of information technology projects; defines project scope and objectives
Collects, analyzes, documents, and communicates business needs and requirements; works to become familiar with the overall strategic direction of City departments and identifies initiatives designed to obtain strategic goals; recognizes new business opportunities, develops business requirements documents, performs risk assessments, and requirements planning and management
Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; maintains the budget for the project and monitors project issues; recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solution of problems; communicates with the project team and customers; conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis; provides technical and analytical guidance to the project teams; works with resource managers to obtain and schedule technical resources; assigns work to technical project staff and measures progress
Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables; negotiates vendor contracts, pricing, product selection, contract research, and makes recommendations determining need, approach, and methodology
Requirements
4 + years of technology project experience
Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check
Thorough knowledge of the principals and practices of project management and business analysis; a high-level understanding of the architecture of enterprise and end user computing; principles and practices of system analysis and customer support; advanced social and communication skills necessary for leading project teams and business analysis efforts; project management and business analysis tools and techniques and how to effectively utilize them in project work
Ability to perform with a level of autonomy that requires little direct supervision, utilizing experience and knowledge to steer projects through situations that may arise in the execution of a project; read and comprehend complex training materials and manuals; follow written and verbal directions; meet productivity standards; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; communicate effectively using technical languages; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; maintain an enterprise perspective during analysis and planning; oversee multi-year, complex projects from inception to completion; assist others in the development of project plans as well as the implementation and tracking of the plans; comprehend and adhere to all security policies, guidelines, and procedures
Proficient in the use of a project management information system
