We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a talented team of QA and development professionals in the creation and enhancement of a cutting-edge sports betting application. This is a key leadership role where you will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions that meet the regulatory standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 12 QA and development professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of a sports betting application, ensuring that it meets functional, performance, and compliance requirements.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, particularly in .NET technologies, including .NET Core, Blazor, and MAUI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and compliance, to define and prioritize project goals and deliverables.
- Ensure the successful submission of applications and updates to relevant gaming and sportsbook regulators.
- Manage the complexities of software development in a highly regulated environment, balancing technical excellence with regulatory compliance.
- Navigate the political landscape within the organization and with external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and smooth execution of projects.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact the development and deployment of the sports betting application.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Strong experience in the gaming, casino, or sportsbook industry is required.
- Expertise in .NET technologies, particularly .NET Core, Blazor, and/or MAUI.
- Proven track record of successfully submitting applications to regulators in the gaming or sportsbook industry.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate technical and political challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
